Someone asked if I could create a page for my blogs which lists the year’s upcoming releases and what I’m working on now. I wrote the end of the book today. Sadly, I didn’t write all the bits leading up to the end of the book, but another 4500 word day tomorrow like today was and I ought to be pretty much done. Then Wednesday is full of errands and I can do revisions Thursday and Friday and turn it in.

I have written just a smidge under 40K in January, and when I say “just a smidge” I mean “100 words”. If I was feeling slightly more ambitious I’d probably write another hundred, except if I did that the chapter would be at about 1750 words and then I’d have to write it up to 2000. I’m not that ambitious. :)

Today is my Chance artist Ardian Syaf’s 30th birthday. I started working with him a few weeks after his 25th birthday, when he had no professional comics credit worth mentioning. Despairing of WORLDBREAKER’s pacing, I gave up and printed it out today to sit down and read it through, convinced I would need to cut 10K from the first 30K in order to make it readable.

I got absolutely nowhere with WORLDBREAKER today, but finished the copyedits on DEMON HUNTS, so it’s a sort of successful work day. Well. Actually, it’s a quite successful day, because it turns out I’m really happy with the book. It’s possibly my favorite of the series so far. I think you guys are gonna like it.
